Our story
The history of Moji Gallery dates back to 2002 when Fumitaka Ueno, a businessman and calligrapher, founded the Carré Moji gallery. His purpose in this project was to revolutionize the traditional Japanese sumi culture to fit modern interiors and styles while keeping its core elements and philosophy. With the concept of “Main character is the space and the people present within”, we have pursued providing comfort in living spaces and the fulfillment of viewers’ hearts for 22 years. This concept and passion remain unchanged as we evolve into the new “Moji Gallery.” We earnestly hope that the timelessness of calligraphy interior art, which can be enjoyed for a lifetime, will enrich the essence of living, evoking a sense of longing and creating peaceful and serene atmospheres that resonate deeply within the soul.
