Gen MIYAMURAShizuoka

Born in 1980, Gen Miyamura graduated from Niigata University’s, specializing in calligraphy. In his 30s, he won the prestigious “Mainichi Prize” twice at Japan’s largest calligraphy competition. In recent years, drawing on his calligraphy expertise cultivated through years of study, Miyamura is an artist who blends technical expertise with a unique design sensibility. Miyamura creates dynamic calligraphy and abstract works that explore the rhythm of brushstrokes and the relationship between ink and negative space. His works can be seen in luxurious hotels such as Aman Tokyo. He also collaborates with renowned brands such as SEIKO, SHISEIDO, and DIPTYQUE.
