“ 今・ここ ～ Here and Now ”
Calligraphy is an art form that allows no rewriting.
In a single, concentrated moment, the calligrapher (artist) faces the washi paper, guided by rhythm and breath that have been cultivated and ingrained in the body over many years.
The expressive lines born in that fleeting instant convey a rich vitality, allowing the viewer to sense the artist’s here and now — their presence, breath, and state of being at that very moment.
We invite you to also appreciate the subtle gradations of ink and the gentle texture of washi paper, qualities that can only be fully experienced through original, hand-drawn works.
